Ultrasound Technologist

Overview

• Contract assignment in Athol, Massachusetts
• 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• No weekends, no holidays, no call

Required Qualifications

• Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• ARDMS
• Graduation from an accredited program in ultrasound technology or radiology technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience performing ultrasound procedures, or equivalent experience as determined by the Department Manager

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures and produce diagnostic-quality images
• Review physician orders and requisitions for accuracy before starting exams
• Document reviewed orders on the requisition
• Complete patient orders and charges, schedule exams, and maintain accurate patient records
• Enter orders, charges, patient information, and film releases in the computer systems used for scheduling and records
• Coordinate daily work schedule and patient flow to keep exams on time
• Position patients appropriately and use proper technical factors, gains, transducers, and positioning techniques
• Maintain patient safety, including fall prevention and protection of children and older adults
