Cath Lab Tech

Overview

• Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 4 ten-hour shifts per week, plus call; 5 eight-hour shifts may be considered
• Hours per day: 10
• Hours per week: 40

Department / Setting

• Cath Lab Tech department
• 7 rooms total: 4 Cath Lab/EP and 3 IR/Vascular
• Average daily volume: 20+ cases across all rooms

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Wisconsin
• Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• RCIS
• Experience managing radiation dose and imaging angles
• Experience with hemodynamics monitoring and troubleshooting

Preferred

• Specific experience depends on where the clinician will be utilized

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure suites and ensure radiation safety setup
• Calibrate and troubleshoot fluoro and hemodynamics monitoring
• Pull supplies, set up sterile table, scrub in, and assist physicians with procedures
• Assist with device exchange, guidewire manipulation, catheter placement, balloon and stent deployment
• Manage radiation dose and imaging angles
• Clean, restock, perform room turnover, and sheath removals

Call / Scheduling

• Weeknight and weekend call rotation
• Approximate call frequency: once every 3 weekdays and once every 3 weekends
• Holiday call may be required
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Orientation includes 2–3 full days of training/shadowing and buddy call
• No call during the first week; second week is on call with a buddy, then independently

Floating

• Hybrid for vascular cases

Additional Notes

• Provided scrubs; own scrub caps allowed
• Clinician must clock in and out at the facility
• Previous employees from this facility are not accepted
• If the clinician has ever worked for Marshfield, they must have an end date at least 6 months before submission
