Emergency Department RN

Overview

Contract role in the Emergency Department
Night shift: 6:30pm - 7:00am
Rotating weekends
36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Illinois
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
BLS
ACLS
PALS

Preferred Qualifications

ENPC
TNCC
TNS

Role Summary

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department
Evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists and ancillary departments as required, and adjusts nursing care processes to support optimal patient care and ER flow
Provides care addressing psychosocial, physical, and general patient needs, as well as communication needs of patient and family
Communicates with ED physicians about changes in patient status, symptomatology, and diagnostic study results
Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
