MedSurg RN
Overview
- 13-week contract in Gillette, Wyoming
- 16–32 rooms
- 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, weekends included
- No floating expected
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 4–5:1
Required Qualifications
- BLS
- 6 months recent MedSurg experience
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS
- PALS or ENPC
- Chemotherapy certification
Unit Details
- Cares for medical patients from early infancy through end of life
- Patient mix includes telemetry, surgical, ortho, neuro, bariatric, and detox/alcohol
- Tele patients come to the floor but are monitored in ICU as well
Additional Notes
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation
- 8 hours with the unit educator plus 30 hours of precept training
- Navy blue scrubs
