Role Summary
Provide nursing care in a Level III NICU for premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates, including infants needing advanced respiratory support and therapeutic cooling.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
- STABLE
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- Strong experience caring for high-acuity and critically ill neonates
- Therapeutic cooling experience
Preferred
- Previous travel experience
Clinical Focus
- Advanced respiratory and hemodynamic support
- Ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen
- Central lines, PICC lines, umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), and other invasive devices
- IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products
- Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Comprehensive neonatal assessments and close monitoring for changes in condition
- Collaboration with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the NICU team
- Parent and family education and emotional support
