Contract assignment

Required Qualifications

Valid RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist license in Hawaii
RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (1 year of experience)
RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist experience within the last year
Registered Dietician
Experience working with Geriatric or Pediatric patients
Experience working with Adult patients
Nutrition Support (Parenteral/Enteral Nutrition)
Food Service Management

Schedule

5-8 hour shifts, 40 hours per week
Five days a week, including weekends
Shift time: 7:00am to 3:30pm
No guarantee of hours or shift preference

Responsibilities

Correct menus and make menu changes for kitchen staff
Serve as a resource for food service management and kitchen staff regarding diets, nutrition support, and patient satisfaction
Review patient assessment requests
Interview patients and perform nutrition assessments
Make nutrition recommendations as needed
Follow up with physician consults
Provide nutrition education
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and ICU rounds
Collaborate with food service and medical staff to provide optimal patient care

Float Scope

Based in food and nutrition services
Provides nutrition and dietetic services for medical, surgical/pediatric, progressive care, OB, intensive care, long term care, and psychiatric units
Provides services one day per month at a long term care facility

Additional Notes

Must arrive the Thursday before start for an employee health appointment on Friday
May be required to work alone, but not routinely
Business and professional dress; lab coats are optional
