Unit

• Cath Lab & IR
• 7 suites/labs: 2 cath labs, 2 bays, and 5 rooms

Schedule

• 4 10-hour day shifts
• Monday–Friday, 0700–1530

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cath Lab
• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
• WV License
• Must have experience with IABP and IVUS

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Acist injector

Clinical Scope

• Common cases include peripheral, cardiac cath, PCI, and devices
• ICDs and pacers
• No EP ablations

Floating

• May float to Non-Invasive CV to start IVs

Call

• 10–11 call shifts per month, including weekends
• Monday–Friday call coverage from 1530–0700
• Holidays are covered by call

Orientation

• 2 shifts with a preceptor, then buddy call for Cath Lab

Additional Notes

• Scrubs are provided
• Telemetry monitoring is Phillips and the unit is hardwired at the bedside
• Cath Lab team is a 3-person team: 2 RN and 1 tech
