Required Qualifications

• 5 years minimum experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NRP
• RRT or CRT accepted
• Must have experience with bubble cpap, assisting c-section deliveries, and oxygen setup for patients at discharge
• Only assist in intubation

Preferred

• None stated

Clinical Setting / Patient Population

• Inpatient and ER
• Adults, pediatrics, and newborns down to 32 weeks
• COPD, asthma, and a few trachs
• No newborn ventilator management

Duties

• Neb treatments
• 6 minute walks
• ABG
• Overnight oximetry trends
• C-sections
• Surfactant delivery
• Bubble cpap management

Schedule

• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Shift hours: 1800 - 0630
• Schedule is done by the manager
• Dayshift every 4th weekend; nightshift has no weekend commitment unless it is a weekend option position
• Holidays required
• One call shift per week

Float Scope

• Staff expected to work all units

Additional Notes

• First time travelers are okay
• Traveler will always be with at minimum 1 other therapist
• Department orientation: 2 shifts
• Candidates who worked in a permanent capacity at the facility within the last 6 months will not be considered
• Any color but blue for scrubs
