Description

Med Surg/Ortho RN

Overview

Role: RN (Registered Nurse)
Specialty/Unit: 5 South- Med Surg/Ortho
Location: Salisbury, Maryland
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Active American Heart Assoc BLS card
Active MD or compact state RN license
Minimum 2 years of med/surg experience
Experience with Ortho patients

Unit Details

Care includes post-op THR, TKR, TSR, geriatric fracture patients, other fractures, and medical overflow
Unit uses Epic documentation system and Omnicell medication system
Unit has 24 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 5-6:1

Schedule

Shifts are based on need at time of request, including every other weekend
No on-call requirement
Will not work on the unit without other staff present

Floating

May float to other Med/Surg units

Additional Notes

Local candidates are not accepted; 50-mile radius restriction applies
8 hours of non-billable orientation; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
Client may call off or cancel up to 12 hours per 13-week assignment
