Registered Nurse - PCU

Location: Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)

Schedule

• Nights, 12-hour shifts, 1830-0700 (per job description)
• The shift field lists "Day (3x12 Hours) 6:30 19:00," so confirm the shift timing with the recruiter.
• Weekend rotation, every other holiday
• Standby call as needed
• A 4x12 schedule will be considered if working more weekends.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin RN license required. A Wisconsin ACT 10 license may be considered if the candidate does not have an active license at signing.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• At least 2 years of RN experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings
• PCU experience within the last year
• Med Surg experience
• First-time travelers must have at least 3 years of experience in a hybrid unit.
• Occasional ICU patients will be seen.
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required, AHA-issued only
• Must pass a telemetry exam before assignment start
• Immunizations and screening: Two MMR doses (or positive titers) for measles, mumps, and rubella; two varicella doses (or positive titer); hepatitis B vaccine series with positive titer, or a facility hepatitis B declination; TB test or chest X-ray; TB questionnaire updated annually
• Flu vaccine: Required during flu season (09/21 to 04/13), or a medical or religious exemption. Vaccines are available onsite at no cost.
• Background and screening: Background check, Wisconsin caregiver screening and BID form, exclusion list checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG), E-Verify, and drug screen
• Documentation: Two clinical references from the last 3 years, employment application, and annual skills checklist
