Stepdown/MedSurg Travel RN

Location: Fairmont, West Virginia Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift (36 hours per week)

Unit Details

• Unit: Stepdown/Med Surg, 20 beds
• Ratios: Stepdown 1:3; Floor 1:5-6
• Nurse aides: 2 per shift
• Charge/House Supervisor: House Supervisor
• Common diagnoses: Respiratory issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, chest pain
• Telemetry on unit: Yes, monitored from a separate location
• Respiratory therapy equipment: CPAP, BiPap, high flow
• Titratable drips: Yes, RNs titrate drips. Common drips include heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and aminodarone.

Required Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA)
• Must have: Stepdown experience

Schedule and Expectations

• Weekends: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holidays: Rotate between evening and day
• Call or standby: Not required
• Floating: Not required
• Orientation: Unit/department-specific orientation, including 12-hour night and weekend shifts as scheduled
• Scrub color: Royal blue

Submission Requirements

• Submissions must include a copy of the candidate's unexpired driver's license.
• Licensing hits must be disclosed at the time of submission.
• 50-mile radius rule applies.
