Occupational Therapist (OT) - Outpatient

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) with a Lymphedema Certification to join our outpatient therapy team. This position provides an opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and support patients in their rehabilitation journey.

Unit Details

The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Responsibilities also include participation in a wound care clinic and working closely with compression fitters and lymphedema vendors to cater to lymphedema patients. The caseload includes young adults to geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses, primarily focusing on lymphedema care.

Schedule

• Potential shifts are available as 4x10s or 5x8s, depending on preference.
• The manager is flexible with scheduling.
• No weekend work required.

On-Call and Floating

There is no on-call requirement, although the therapist may be required to float within the facility and to the acute care inpatient facility as needed, within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Lymphedema Certification (in-hand) is required.
• Georgia Occupational Therapy License (may be pending at submission).
• NBCOT certification is necessary, but initial screening can be conducted during submission.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in occupational therapy; first-time travelers are welcome.

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance is required to ensure timely start dates. Orientation hours will depend on contract length, with specific hours designated for 8-week and 10-week assignments.

Holidays

If assigned during a major holiday, the therapist is expected to work as follows:

• One major holiday: Expected to work one.
• Two major holidays: Expected to work both.
• Three major holidays: Expected to work two.

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.
