Job Description

The Mammographer is responsible for performing high-quality mammography examinations, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout the imaging process. This role requires a strong understanding of various mammography techniques and the ability to work closely with patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during examinations.
• Maintain and operate mammography equipment, conducting regular quality control checks.
• Assist in positioning patients appropriately for optimal imaging results.
• Document patient information and procedure details accurately.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and participate in patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Valid state license/certificate for mammography.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
