Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Trauma Surgeon to join our team. The selected candidate will be expected to provide high-quality surgical care in a busy trauma environment with a focus on patient safety and comprehensive treatment.

Schedule

The position requires availability from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM with additional on-call responsibilities. Call rotations will be approximately three times a month, including night and weekend coverage with varying hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Trauma Surgeon.
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma setting is required.
• Proficient in utilizing Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Extensive experience in transplant, cardiac, and vascular surgical services.
• Previous employment must have been with a large hospital.
• No candidates will be considered from within 50 miles of the location.
• Candidates must have been separated from any previous employer for a minimum of 6 months to be eligible.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surgical procedures and manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive trauma care.
• Participate in trauma rounds and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate and mentor junior staff and residents.
