Job Description

This position is for an experienced Trauma ICU Registered Nurse responsible for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced medical, surgical, and trauma intensive care unit. The role involves working 12-hour shifts, including day shifts, every other weekend, and some holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer patient care to individuals in the Trauma ICU setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, identifying any changes that may require immediate attention.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and care activities accurately in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Participate in patient and family education regarding treatment plans and care processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, specifically in a medical, surgical, and trauma setting.
• Epic experience required for navigating and managing electronic health records.
• Current valid RN license for Wisconsin or a compact RN license is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Only AHA certifications are accepted.
• Successful completion of a telemetry test prior to starting is required.

Additional Information

The unit is open to considering travelers interested in a 4x12-hour scheduling option. Block schedules are not available for this position.
