Description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Position Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in assessing and administering medication to residents, while effectively communicating changes in health status to physicians, charge nurses, and family members. The LPN also offers support to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in various responsibilities.

Essential Job Duties:

Administer medications to residents, adhering to the five rights of medication administration.
Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
Notify the charge nurse of any changes in a resident's condition.
Assist CNAs by responding to call lights and fulfilling other essential responsibilities.
Update physicians and family members regarding any changes in residents' conditions as necessary.
Perform additional duties as requested.

Required Qualifications:

Must hold and maintain a valid Wisconsin LPN license.
Current CPR/BLS certification required.
Preferred: At least one year of related work experience.
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Shift Information:

Full-time PM Shift (2pm - 10pm) with a requirement to work every other weekend. Holiday coverage is also required.
