Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Operating Room (OR) unit. This role involves providing exceptional patient care during the intraoperative phase and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality of care.

Schedule

• Shifts: 5 days per week, Monday through Friday
• Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call requirement includes nights, weekends, and holidays
• Typically, 1 night on-call per week
• 2-3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of main hospital experience in nursing
• CPI certification not required

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of patients upon admission to the OR, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, and environmental factors
• Evaluate self-care and educational needs, along with discharge planning and family support considerations
• Continuously assess and reassess patients, identifying needs and implementing nursing interventions
• Develop individualized plans of nursing care tailored to meet each patient's unique needs in the intraoperative setting
• Maintain a staffing ratio of 1:1 to ensure comprehensive care delivery
