Job Description
The Mammography Technician is responsible for performing mammography examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast-related conditions. This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Ensure the quality of images produced and maintain accurate patient records.
- Provide patient education regarding the procedure and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and plan patient care.
- Maintain equipment and work area to promote a safe and efficient environment.
Qualifications
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography.
- Current state licensure in Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in mammography or radiologic technology preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Work Schedule
This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
