Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Emergency Department Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing care for diverse patient populations, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 64 (includes acute, super track, trauma, and psych beds)
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
• Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients effectively upon arrival.
• Provide direct patient care and manage acute health issues.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in electronic medical records.
• Participate in floating to different areas as required for patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, with pediatric experience preferred.
• Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse with an active state license.
• Current certifications in AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC certification must be held in hand).
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records, specifically EPIC.
• Must provide a skills checklist matching the specialty.
• Documentation of travel experience is required.

Shift Information

Shifts will be from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to float to other departments as needed based on staffing and patient care needs.
• Must possess a driver's license with an address matching demographic information provided.
