Description
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a vital role within a multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality imaging services in support of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
- Assist in the performance of various imaging procedures.
- Process and transmit imaging studies to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Utilize both mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care throughout imaging processes.
Qualifications
- Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH, ARRT, or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology is required.
- Minimum of one year of acute clinical radiology experience.
- At least one year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required.
- Graduate of a program accredited by the JRCNMT or CAMRT.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Proficiency in computer skills is necessary.
- CT/Fusion Certification is needed.
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential.
