Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MFM Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team. This position involves performing obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations for maternal-fetal medicine patients. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of sonographic technology, protocols, and procedures, as well as the ability to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Ensure accurate documentation of procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Adhere to departmental and institutional policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• May be required to float between multiple locations within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year Allied Health education program or Associate of Applied Science Degree from an accredited ultrasound program.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maternal-fetal ultrasound.
• ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OBGYN, Pediatric, or MSK is required; multiple specialties preferred.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification is required.
• Experience with arterial ultrasounds, including bypass grafts and stents, is mandatory.
• BLS certification is required.

Shift Information

• Day shift with flexible start times (7:00, 7:15, 7:30 AM).
• Work 4 days per week, 8-hour shifts, totaling 32 hours per week.
• Availability for approximately one weekend every 4 to 6 weeks.

Work Environment

• The role involves floating between outpatient and acute care facilities to meet departmental needs.
• Parking available for free in any unrestricted space, no pass needed.
• Charting will be conducted using the Epic system.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods while performing examinations.
• Ability to assist with patient mobility and positioning as needed.

Important Notes

• Candidate must not reside within 50 miles of the job locations.
• Finalized requests for time off (RTO) must be included during the application process; no RTO is permitted within the first week of employment.
• Maximum of 10 days of RTO allowed during the assignment.
