Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in a related nursing field and possess prior travel experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 29-bed unit catering to adult and geriatric orthopedic patients, as well as medical-surgical patients.
• Monitor patients using telemetry systems and deliver comprehensive nursing care.
• Assist with a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring optimal recovery and support for patients.
• Support and supervise nursing staff as needed, taking charge of the unit during designated shifts.
• Participate in a collaborative care environment to enhance patient recovery, including access to physical therapy services directly within the unit.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience; charge RN experience is required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Ability to float between units as necessary.
• Willingness to work night shifts (7 PM to 7:30 AM) on a 3x12 hour schedule, including every other weekend.

Patient Population

The unit serves a high volume of patients recovering from total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties. Additionally, moderate volumes of medical patients in inpatient and 24-hour observation settings are managed.

Work Schedule

• Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
• Every other weekend commitment (Saturday and Sunday)
