Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a medical-surgical and telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and IV therapy, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
• Perform IV therapy, including blood product administration and care of central and peripheral lines.
• Provide respiratory support using nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Float between various units as needed, primarily to areas with Med-Surg patients.
• Work a schedule that includes every other weekend and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• First-time travelers are welcome; local candidates also accepted.
• Required certifications: BCLS, NIH.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• Preferred certifications include OCN and Chemotherapy Administration.

Unit Details

• Target nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6, with a total of 36 beds.
• Orientation: 24 hours.
• Uniform: Navy scrubs.

Work Environment

This position requires the use of unit systems including Epic and Pyxis. The work schedule will be determined by the needs of the unit.
