Operating Room Nurse

Job Overview

This position is for an Operating Room Nurse with a focus on ambulatory care, specifically in orthopedics and sports medicine. The role supports surgical procedures in a fast-paced outpatient surgery environment.

Unit Description

The assignment will be located in a healthcare center providing outpatient surgical services. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Ambulatory experience is mandatory
Experience in orthopedics and sports medicine is preferred
BLS certification is required

Responsibilities

Pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing outpatient procedures
Assist with the preparation and implementation of surgical procedures
Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
