Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a pulmonary medical unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telemetry and experience in managing dysrhythmias. This role involves caring for patients with longer lengths of stay, trach patients, and those with respiratory conditions such as COPD and asthma.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Telemetry skills preferred.
• Certifications: BCLS and NIH.
• 1st-time travelers are accepted.

Job Details

• Patient Ratios: 5:1, with a possibility of up to 6:1.
• Shift: 36 hours weekly (12-hour night shifts from 18:45 - 07:15).
• Contract Length: Available contracts from 16 weeks up to February 27, 2027.
• RTO: A maximum of 7 days is permissible for requests.
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekends (totaling 6 weekend shifts) every 6 weeks.
• Floating: Required as necessary within the service line.

Patient Population

This unit cares for:

• Pulmonary patients
• General medical patients
• Patients with trach, chest tubes, and who require O2 via bipap/cpap (no vents).

Additional Notes

All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty. Scrubs: Navy blue and white, any combination. Please note that scrubs are not provided.
