We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with patients of all ages, providing high-quality respiratory care and support in various clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer 4-8 treatments per round daily, focusing primarily on adult patients while stabilizing pediatric patients before transfer.
• Attend high-risk C-sections to assist with positive pressure ventilation (PPV) as needed.
• Operate and manage mechanical ventilation equipment, including Hamilton C1 and T1 systems.
• Perform diagnostic procedures including EKGs and ABGs using ISTAT technology.
• Setup Holter monitors and support respiratory care education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in areas such as ER, SPCU, OB, and pulmonary function testing.
• Participate in outpatient training and competency assessments as required based on contractual arrangements.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS (AHA).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy in a clinical setting.
• Experience with mechanical ventilation, inhalation therapy, and emergency procedures.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly Epic (preferred).
• Ability to assist with intubation procedures as part of a team.

Shift Details

• 12-hour shifts: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM.
• Weekends: Every other weekend.
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts as needed, with potential for block scheduling.

Professional scrubs of any color are permitted.

Orientation

The department-specific orientation will include a 12-hour shadowing shift to ensure familiarity with all necessary systems and procedures.
