POSITION SUMMARY: The Nursing Home Registered Nurse supports daily nursing activities, playing a crucial role that demands precision, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional healthcare.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Provide timely communication to physicians and families regarding significant changes in resident conditions.
- Complete all necessary resident assessments.
- Administer medications while adhering to the five rights.
- Perform wound care and assessments as required.
- Assist Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in responding to call lights.
- Monitor residents for changes in their health status.
- Act as a leader on the floor by assessing and managing situations as they arise.
- Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
- Maintain accurate resident records with thorough documentation.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two-year degree in nursing required; a four-year degree in nursing is preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
- Current CPR and BLS certification is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
SHIFT INFORMATION:
Weekend PM Shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, consisting of three 14-hour shifts as follows:
- Saturday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Sunday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Monday & Tuesday: Off
- Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Thursday: Off
- Friday: 6:00 AM - 8:30 AM
- Saturday: 6:00 AM - 8:30 AM
- Sunday: 6:00 AM - 8:30 AM
- Monday & Tuesday: Off
- Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Thursday: Off
- Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Holiday coverage is required.
