Description

Cath Lab Technologist

We are seeking a highly qualified Cath Lab Technologist with experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in both IR and Cath Lab settings and demonstrate the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

Start Date: 10/19
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Shift: 5x8 Days (08:00-16:30, Mon-Fri scheduled) with on-call and weekend responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

Perform IR scrub and circulation duties effectively.
Assist in a variety of Cath Lab procedures including biopsies, line placements, and interventions for abdominal and pleural conditions.
Provide patient care for adults and geriatrics, ensuring a high level of service and safety.
Be available for urgent and emergency cases during after-hours and scheduled on-call shifts.
Systematically utilize specialized equipment, including Phillips Azurion C-Arm and various angioplasty balloons and stents.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of strong experience in IR scrub and circulation.
Experience in the Cath Lab preferred.
Must hold ARRT(R) or RCIS certification, along with a state of MD license.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
First-time travelers with strong experience in IR and Cath Lab scrubbing are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment

This role is set in a small IR suite characterized by a moderate to high case volume. Staff are encouraged to be proficient in their skills in a dynamic patient care setting. All procedures are scheduled from Monday through Friday, with availability for on-call, urgent, and emergency cases expected.

Additional Information

Attendance on scheduled holidays is required.
Floating among specialties may be necessary based on patient care needs.
Participation in approximately 8 to 10 on-call shifts per month is expected, which may include nights and weekends.
