Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care in a long-term care setting. Under the supervision of the Unit Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), or Director of Nursing (DON), the LPN is responsible for the care and well-being of residents by assessing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care through thorough assessment and evaluation of residents' needs.
• Implement care plans while ensuring adherence to protocols and standards of care.
• Manage and maintain a safe environment for all residents.
• Supervise nursing assistants and caregivers in the delivery of patient care activities.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service, embodying the core values of exceptional care, passionate service, and unexpected luxury.
• Comply with facility policies and procedures, state nurse practice acts, and relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) or long-term care (LTC) is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination is required, with medical and religious exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.
• An active and valid Michigan nursing license at the time of application is mandatory.

Work Schedule

This position involves working 36 hours per week on a night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Weekend availability is required every other weekend, along with holiday coverage.

Additional Requirements

• The agency must possess an active MI iCHAT account and be authorized to schedule fingerprinting.
• Flexibility in scheduling is required, and blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated at this time.
