Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit is a fast-paced, highly acute, 18-bed adult critical care unit dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular diseases throughout all phases of their condition. This specialized unit emphasizes high-quality, accessible, innovative, and research-based care delivered by an interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care to critically ill cardiac surgical patients.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Utilize evidence-based practices in patient treatment and care planning.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing interventions as necessary.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a Cardiac Surgical ICU setting is required.
1+ years of travel nursing experience is required.
Current BLS certification is required.
Valid nursing license in the state of practice.

Work Schedule

This position requires rotating day and night shifts, with weekends and holidays as needed.
