Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry. This role involves working night shifts, which will consist of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry environment.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing nursing interventions as necessary.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state.
• At least 12 months of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to starting the position.
• One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty area of application is required for qualification.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation, achieving acceptable scores on both.

Working Environment

The role will involve working on the 4 East/West unit, focusing on patient-centered care. This position does not include block schedules.
