Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our pediatric unit. The successful candidate will provide exceptional care to medical and surgical patients as well as those in hematology and oncology, ages 0-17.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and administer interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient care.
• Participate in self-scheduling for shifts.
• Handle nursing duties in both PICU and NICU as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
• Must hold current certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Chemotherapy administration experience and certification preferred.
• IV start and lab draw skills preferred.

Shift Information

• 36 hours of work per week; 12-hour shifts from 06:45 AM to 07:15 PM.
• Weekend rotations required: every other weekend.
• RTO: Maximum of 7 days allowed for time off requests.

Orientation and Dress Code

• Unit orientation duration: 24 hours.
• Hospital orientation required for the first week, with daily attendance at classes.
• Scrubs are not provided; please wear fun kid tops and navy pants.

Target Ratios

The unit’s target nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6.
