Job Description
Under the supervision of the department manager, charge nurse, or staff nurse, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in assisting with the treatment and care of patients in Long Term Care (LTC). This position focuses on delivering high-quality patient-centered care in accordance with established methods and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff in providing patient care and treatment.
- Ensure a superior experience for patients and their families through attentive care and communication.
- Demonstrate understanding and implementation of patient and family-centered care practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Long Term Care (LTC) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Active Michigan state license must be maintained at the time of application.
- Possession of MI LTC Fingerprinting is considered a strong asset.
Shift Details
- 12-hour day shifts with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
- Weekend shifts required every other week.
Attendance Policy
To uphold a commitment to patient care, a strict attendance policy is in effect. Absences from scheduled shifts or tardiness exceeding 20 minutes, accumulating to three occurrences, may result in immediate termination, barring documented exceptions such as communicable diseases or hospitalization.
