We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a position requiring the ability to work independently in a critical access setting. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care under the supervision of the Technical Director of Respiratory Therapy, setting up and operating various equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases.
• Work with both invasive and non-invasive ventilation, draw arterial blood gases (ABGs), and manage airways, including assisting with intubations.
• Perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs) as needed, with a willingness to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Function autonomously and effectively address varying challenges across multiple patient care areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience.
• Active certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Proficiency in the use of mechanical ventilators, various Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) modalities, and high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records.
• At least 6 months of previous travel experience is highly preferred.
• Must possess a valid Vermont RRT license.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this position.
• All requests for time off must be indicated at the time of submission, with no more than 5 days accepted.

Work Schedule

The position requires availability for three 12-hour night shifts weekly, with every other weekend and holiday work expected as needed.

Business casual or personal scrubs of any color are acceptable.

Orientation

A non-billable orientation of 8 hours will be provided.
