Position Overview

This position requires a skilled CVOR Tech to assist with a wide range of surgical procedures, particularly focusing on cardiac and thoracic operations. The role involves working in a dynamic environment with varying shifts and weekend on-call responsibilities.

Shift Details

• 12-hour shifts from 10:40 to 23:10, Monday through Friday.
• Weekends will include on-call starting at 15:00 Friday until 07:00 Monday.
• No scheduling on the Friday you are scheduled for weekend call.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiac and thoracic procedures including ECMO, CABG, LVAD, and various robotic surgeries.
• Perform tasks related to transplant procedures for kidney and liver.
• Collaborate with surgical teams in a Level I trauma center environment.
• Ensure compliance with best practices in surgical safety and protocols.
• Handle tracheostomy care as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical scrub experience preferred.
• Completion of a surgical technologist program or an equivalent experience level in a surgical technologist role.
• Experience specifically in cardiac and thoracic surgery required.
• Experience in teaching or training environments is a plus.
• AHA BLS certification is mandatory.

Additional Information
