Shift Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Role Responsibilities

The Multi-Modality Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality imaging services while ensuring comprehensive patient care within CT and X-ray modalities. Key responsibilities include:

• Effectively explaining procedures to patients to ensure their understanding and comfort.
• Producing accurate images for interpretation by licensed practitioners or as requested.
• Floating to similar units as needed to meet facility requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred, first-time travelers accepted but not preferred.
• Certifications: Registration in Radiography (ARRT) (R) and Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C); SCRQSA; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) acceptable if pending, provided it is obtained within 2-3 weeks of hire.
• Preferred Experience: Emergency, Trauma, Pediatrics, Orthopedic exams in both modalities, experience with Siemens equipment, and familiarity with Epic and PACS.
• Radiation Badge: Agency must provide radiation badges, as they are not provided to travelers.

Additional Information

• Radius Rule: 60 miles.
• Local Candidates: Considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate.
• Time Off: All requests for time off must be included upon submission.
• Guaranteed Hours: Scheduled shifts may be canceled, with allowances for one shift every two weeks.

Work Environment

This position requires flexibility and teamwork in a fast-paced, high-volume imaging environment, which is part of a teaching and trauma center. Please be aware of potential emergency response assignments during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.

Scrub Color

Scrubs are teal blue tops and black bottoms.

Charting System

Epic is the primary charting system utilized.

Parking Information

A one-time payment for a parking pass is required for night and weekend shifts.
