Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical care. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating advanced clinical skills and knowledge within a medical-surgical environment.

Shift Details

This position is for a night shift, working 3 twelve-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Responsibilities

• Perform Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, providing telemetry monitoring on the unit as well as remotely.
• Utilize Rapid Response and Code team protocols as necessary.
• Manage feeding tube care, tube feeding, and the use of Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI).
• Effectively access and manage ports for intravenous therapy.
• Administer blood products, perform central line blood draws, and conduct phlebotomy.
• Provide comprehensive care for Peripheral Line and Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC) management.
• Start and maintain intravenous (IV) lines, including cardiac gtts with no titration.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience in a Medical Surgical setting preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
