An exciting opportunity awaits for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for candidates with a passion for emergency care and the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.

Position Information

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Emergency Department (ED)
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: No guarantee for weekends off, but efforts are made for fair scheduling
• Call Requirements: None

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS/BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC (Required); CPI preferred
• Years of Experience: 2 years in a similar position
• Float Requirements: Travelers required to float to ED holding

Unit Information

• Trauma Level: Level 2
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Equipment: Ultrasound, bladder scanner, neuro tele computer, Care Aware hand-held devices
• EHR: Omnicell, EPIC, SBAR
• Patient Population: Pediatric to geriatric patients

Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience in a non-trauma Emergency Department
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Experience with ventilated patients and triage processes

Common Diagnoses and Treatments

The emergency department services a diverse patient population, providing care for a wide range of diagnoses, including but not limited to:

• Chest pain
• Stroke management
• General trauma
• Pediatric emergencies (approximately 5% of cases)

Working Environment

The facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center with four critical care bays and a commitment to collaborative care through tele-neurology partnerships. The environment is characterized by a supportive team atmosphere focused on high-quality patient care.

Scrubs should be navy blue.
