A Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting. This role requires a high level of technical skill and patient care, focusing on adult and geriatric patients with various cardiovascular conditions.

Schedule

• 4x10 Hour Shifts: 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM and/or 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM
• No call, no weekends, and no major holidays

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic catheterizations and hemodynamic monitoring
• Perform left and right heart catheterizations
• Assist with permanent pacemaker insertion (PPI) and temporary pacemaker procedures
• Prepare and stock supplies for procedures
• Circulate during procedures and maintain a sterile field
• Implement interventions such as insertion/programming of AICDs and stent placements
• Conduct angioplasty, aortography, pelvic arteriography, and pulmonary arteriography
• Perform dialysis graft interventions, including fistulograms and declots
• Administer fluoroscopy and ensure accurate patient monitoring
• Conduct EKG lead placement and prep access sites
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and execute isolation precautions
• Utilize the rapid response team when necessary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
• One prior travel assignment experience is required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ARRT CI, ARRT VI, CCI RCIS (will accept ARRT or RCIS)
• Proficient in diagnostic catheterizations and various interventional procedures
• Experience with adult patients dealing with CAD, PVD, and cancer diagnoses

This role operates within diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization labs, focusing on patient care and technical proficiency in a fast-paced medical setting. The Cath Lab Technologist works closely with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality outcomes for patients undergoing cardiovascular interventions.
