Join a dynamic team as a Neuro ICU Registered Nurse, where you will provide critical care to patients with neurological disorders. This position involves managing and treating patients with complex neurological issues, including but not limited to ischemic or hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for neurocritical patients.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
• Maintain optimal patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:2.
• Float to the Cardiovascular Care Unit (CCU) as needed.
• Participate in end-of-week shifts (EOW) as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Neurocritical Care.
• Open to first-time travelers.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS.
• Valid license in Alabama or a Compact License.

Patient Population

The Neuro ICU focuses on treating patients experiencing:

• Ischemic or hemorrhagic strokes
• Post thrombectomies
• Traumatic brain injuries
• Status epilepticus
• Spinal cord injuries
• Other neurological conditions requiring intensive care interventions

Special Equipment

Familiarity with specialized equipment such as:

• Intracranial Pressure monitors
• External ventricular drains
