We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our team at a busy Level 3 Trauma facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both pediatric and adult care, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Level 3 Trauma ER.
• Assess, plan, and implement patient care based on individual needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective and efficient patient care.
• Conduct assessments and monitoring of high acuity patients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using EPIC.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Experience in both pediatric and adult emergency care.
• 1 year of travel experience is required; however, candidates with 3 years of experience in a busy Level 2 or 3 trauma facility may be considered with less travel experience.
• Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH (pending is acceptable).
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records system is required.

Additional Information

This facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center with a high volume of patient admissions, averaging 220 patients per day in a 54-bed ER. The working environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring adaptability and strong clinical skills.

Weekend Requirements

Agency team members are not subject to a set weekend rotation but can be scheduled for up to six weekend shifts during a 6-week scheduling period. Night shift team members may be assigned up to three Sundays within this period.

Vaccination Requirements

All candidates must have a 2-step PPD and a flu vaccine, with no exemptions permitted for these requirements.
