Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a specialty in Telemetry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of nursing experience, although first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements
This position involves working in a telemetry unit that manages a variety of cardiac diagnoses, including but not limited to:
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Myocardial Infarction (MI) / Chest Pain (Pre- and Post-Cath)
- Dysrhythmias (Pre- and Post-Device Implants)
- Hypo- and Hypertension
- Pleural Effusion
- Sepsis
- Pulmonary Embolism (PE) / Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) / Vascular Issues
Staffing Ratio
The nurse-to-patient ratio will be 1:4-5, within a telemetry unit of 16 rooms.
Unit Systems
The following systems are utilized within the unit:
- Epic (Required)
- Pyxis
- SBAR
Uniform Requirements
Scrub color is navy blue.
Time Off (RTO) Policy
The maximum allowable time off is 7 days. Please note that Blackout dates include Spring Break from April 4th to April 12th.
Weekend and Holiday Requirements
Nurses are expected to work every other weekend unless specified otherwise. Additionally, if assigned during a major holiday period, the nurse will be required to work the assigned holidays as follows:
- If one major holiday falls within the assignment, work is expected.
- If two major holidays fall within the assignment, work is expected for both.
- If three major holidays fall within the assignment, work for two of the holidays is expected.

- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Compliance Requirements
Full compliance is required to start on time. In the event that compliance is not met in a timely manner, orientation may be delayed by 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.
Pre-Screening Process
Candidates will undergo a clinical review to determine clinical fit. If the candidate passes the clinical review and meets the guidelines, they will be forwarded to the hiring manager for a final decision.
