Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a long-term acute care facility, requiring Tele/Vent and complex wound management skills.
Details
- Long-term acute care nursing floor setting on the 5th floor unit
- Patient care involves telemetry monitoring, ventilators, and complex wound management
- Experience with vasoactive drips such as Norepinephrine and Dopamine required
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5
- AM shift schedule with 4x12-hour shifts totaling 48 hours per week
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required in hand
- Minimum of 18 months of recent nursing experience required
- Experience with telemetry, ventilator management, and complex wound care required
- Experience managing vasoactive drips (Norepinephrine, Dopamine) required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care within a long-term acute care nursing unit
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
- Former employees of the health system must be separated for at least 1 year before returning, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
- RTO requests are limited to a maximum of 5 days if not falling on or near a holiday, or 3 days if near a holiday, with only one holiday request permitted per assignment
