Description

Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for an urgent backfill position. The ideal candidate will have experience in both PACU and circulating roles within the operating room. This position involves an 8-hour day shift schedule with rotating on-call responsibilities.

Shift Details:

8-hour Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
On Call: 1 day per week (rotating) and every 5th weekend
Call hours during the week: 3:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Weekend call: Friday 3:30 PM to Monday 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

Provide patient care in the operating room environment.
Assist with a variety of surgical procedures including General, GI, OBGYN, Orthopedic, ENT, Urology, Cataracts, and Podiatry.
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Monitor patient recovery in the PACU setting.

Qualifications:

Must have circulating experience.
Must have PACU experience.
Scrub experience is highly preferred.
Experience in the following surgical cases is required: General, GI, OBGYN, Orthopedic, ENT, Urology, Cataracts, and Podiatry.
Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred.

Certification Requirements:

Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
