Description
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse who will be responsible for caring for patients throughout the surgical process, ensuring their safety and comfort during procedures. This position requires significant nursing experience in the operating room setting.
Shift Requirements
- Full-time schedule: Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- On-call requirements: Availability for on-call duties
- Weekend coverage: 1-2 weekend days of call per 13-week period
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide necessary information regarding outcomes and potential risks.
- Assist surgical teams by ensuring sterile techniques are applied and the operating area is properly maintained.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, providing ongoing assessment and care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the operating room setting is required.
- Preferred experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
- Current active nursing license in Oklahoma.
- Certification requirements must be met; however, candidates without certifications will still be considered.
