Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Critical Care team. This position involves providing exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical and surgical needs. The role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Overview

The Critical Care Center is a 14-bed unit that offers 24-hour intensivist coverage. Our staff is committed to delivering high-quality care to patients requiring intensive medical attention.

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a critical care setting.
• Manage ventilators and administer vasoactive medications.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Provide post-STEMI care and participate in sedation titration.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.

Minimum Requirements

• Current RN license in Massachusetts.
• Current certifications in AHABLS and ACLS.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, with documented competency in core critical care skills.
• Continuing education in critical care; CCRN certification is preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• All requests for time off must be presented at the time of submission; no holiday requests and a maximum of three days off are permitted.
