Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images while providing exceptional patient care.

Schedule

This position involves a primary schedule of Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday:

• Friday and Monday: 8-hour day shifts (start times between 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM)
• Saturday and Sunday: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Work collaboratively with radiologists and other medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Document and maintain patient records and imaging data accurately.
• Educate patients and their families about the MRI procedure and any necessary preparations.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of clinical experience in a relevant field is required.
• Certification from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or ARRT Magnetic Resonance (MR) certification is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology is required.

Additional Information

This position does not require on-call duties and may involve working on holidays as needed. The primary work location will be at University Hospital.
