Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team, specializing in Eye, Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT), and Plastic surgeries. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality surgical care through expert support in the operating room.
Responsibilities
- Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
- Ophthalmic Surgeries: Vitrectomy and open globe repair.
- Plastic Surgeries: Abdominoplasty, DIEP flap breast reconstruction, free flap procedures, and laparoscopic surgeries.
- ENT Procedures: Arch bars, facial repairs, mandibular and zygomatic surgeries, sinus surgery, radical neck dissection, tracheostomy, septoplasty, acoustic surgeries, and direct laryngoscopy.
- Ear Surgeries: Cochlear implants.
- Utilize and maintain various advanced surgical equipment, including Constellation, Straight Shot, liposuction, neoprobe, NIM, Piezo, Klein Pump, and Stryker Navigation.
- Operate and manage specialized microscopes such as Pentero, Mitaka, and Leica.
- Participate in weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities, including potential holiday call duties.
- Undertake varied scheduling during the initial orientation period (first 1-2 weeks).
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
- Completion of a surgical technologist program or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of program completion.
Work Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with the following shifts available:
- Day Shift: 06:40 - 19:10
- Evening Shift: 10:40 - 23:10
- No block scheduling is available.
