Job Summary
The CT Technologist will perform a variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, providing support to other imaging technologists as needed and facilitating efficient patient flow. This role requires flexibility to work different shifts and locations as necessary. The CT Technologist will troubleshoot basic maintenance issues, participate in quality assurance, and address challenges related to image processing and the image archiving system. Ongoing education, adherence to safety protocols, and maintenance of imaging competencies are essential components of this role.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with management, coworkers, and physicians to foster staff growth, development, and a positive work environment.
- Ensure high levels of physician satisfaction by effectively assisting radiologists and referring physicians.
- Perform all duties maintaining patient confidentiality and only disclosing information as necessary for job performance.
- Adapt patient assessments and care methods to meet the unique needs of each patient served.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and standards of care required by state and federal regulations.
- Execute examinations and procedures as needed to support patient throughput, within the scope of license and documented competencies.
- Maintain flexibility by working other shifts or locations as needed.
- Ensure completed exams are properly scanned and stored in the PACS system.
- Follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalate issues as needed.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions to management and/or biomedical personnel; perform appropriate follow-ups.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education/Skills
- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accepted equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency required.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- One of the following primary modality certifications is required: Radiography (R) by ARRT, Nuclear Medicine Technology by ARRT or NMTCB, or Computed Tomography (CT) by ARRT or NMTCB (CT required upon hire in the state).
- State Licensure required (e.g., CT or FUS by MIRTP NMED for New Mexico).
- BLS certification via AHA required.
Work Schedule
Full-time position requiring 3 days of 12-hour shifts.
