Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Float Registered Nurse to join our dynamic float pool team. In this role, you will be expected to provide patient care across various units, including the Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU. This position requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability as you will be floating to different departments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients within various units of the hospital.
- Float between departments including the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU as required.
- Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios up to 1:6 in Medical-Surgical units.
Schedule
- Shift: Night shifts, working 3 times per week (3x12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:00).
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend commitment is expected.
- No call requirement.
- Flexibility is essential; block schedule requests cannot be accommodated.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
Holiday Requirements
Travelers may be required to work major holidays as outlined below, depending on their assignment period:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Compliance
Full compliance with required credentials and documentation is mandatory for timely onboarding. Non-compliance may result in an extension of the start date.
Additional Information
- Orientation hours will vary based on contract length.
- Locals are accepted at the same rate.
